SunTek
SunTek is owned by Eastman Chemical Company, one of the largest manufacturers in the performance films industry. Their CIR ceramic and Evolve IR lines are well-regarded among professional installers who prioritize film performance over brand recognition. As a SunTek Certified Installer, Quality Window Tinting carries factory-backed warranty coverage for customers who request the SunTek lineup.
Performance Comparison
Both brands offer comparable ceramic film performance at comparable price tiers. The meaningful performance comparison is between film tiers — carbon versus ceramic versus IR ceramic — not between brands producing film at the same tier. An Avery Dennison Encore Supreme IR and a SunTek Evolve IR at similar VLT levels will perform in the same performance band. Specific product SKUs vary in their specs, but those differences are small compared to the gap between a carbon film and a ceramic film.

What “Certified Installer” Actually Means
Both brands run a certification program with similar structure:
- Avery Dennison Certified Installer. Factory training, full product-line access, and the ability to register the Encore lifetime warranty for the original vehicle owner. Avery Dennison backs the film warranty directly.
- SunTek Certified Installer. Same structure: factory training, full product access, and manufacturer warranty registration. Eastman Chemical backs the warranty.
Both certifications are meaningful because they tie warranty coverage to installer status. A shop that buys film from a distributor without certification cannot register the manufacturer warranty on your behalf. Which Brand Should You Choose?
The honest answer: most customers will not notice the difference between premium ceramic films from different brands at comparable VLT levels. The variables that measurably affect what you feel in your car are film tier (ceramic versus carbon), VLT percentage (which affects both privacy and heat rejection at the lighter shades), and installation quality.
Avery Dennison Encore is what we install day-to-day and what we quote against by default; if you have a preference for SunTek, we install that on request with full warranty registration. Either way Andrey recommends based on the vehicle and what you are trying to accomplish — heat rejection, privacy, glass-roof coverage, or specific VLT requirements. The recommendation will be a film tier and shade before it is a brand.
